Service, Repair & Warranty

At Pacific Angler we offer a variety of service and repair options for rods, reels, electronics, downriggers, and trap pullers.

Reels

• We can spool your spinning reel, mooching reel, level wind reel, centrepin, or fly reel with your choice of monofilament, braided line, dacron or gelspun backing.
• We offer basic cleaning and servicing of most reels for a fee, with minor repairs generally handled in house for a fee plus parts.
• Major repairs or warranty claims are assessed and then handled on a case by case basis and options vary by brand.

Rods

• Tip top repair is generally done in house ,on the spot, and we stock tip tops for conventional rods and fly rods.
• Guide replacement and more extensive rod repairs are sent out to our rod builders and processing time varies with job size and part availability.
• Broken rods are assessed and where possible we can assist with warranty claims or replacement options.  Options vary by brand and age of rod.
• We do custom rod building.  Come talk to us about what you are looking for and we will let you know what blank and build options are available.

Electronics

• Repairs for electronics are not handled in house but we are happy to help you with assessment of the issue.  We will then send the product to the appropriate place for repair or warranty.  We handle assessment and repair or warranty for Simrad, Lowrance, Raymarine, Garmin and Minn Kota.

Downriggers & Trap Pullers

• Minor repairs are handled in house.  For major repairs and servicing, we send items to Scotty and Ace Line Hauler.
• We do not spool downriggers in house but are happy to teach you how to do it, so it can be done on your boat at your convenience.
