OUTLOOK
Another interesting week for BC weather has left fishing options limited. Every major system in the Lower Mainland spiked again over the last 5 days. Once again, our best wishes go out to all those affected by continued flooding. Our hats are off to all those helping out on the ground, and we wanted to thank those who took part in our latest Instagram auction earlier this week. There were some very generous bids and we managed to raise another $1500 for flood relief.
On the fishing front, the good news is there is cold weather coming. This should suck up a lot of the water and drop things back into shape. Squamish is one area we may see some fishable conditions soon. The river spiked with heavy rain and very warm temperatures last week and the upper road is having some issues but it is coming down fast. We have details in our freshwater report section on what is going on up that way.
The other fishery worth looking at is winter chinook fishing. We’ve been out when the weather allows, and fishing continues to be good on that front so check your marine and weather forecast and get out there.
Last, but not least, we still have some great items carried over from our Black Friday Sale that are worth looking at.
Redington Vice 4100-4 15 % Off – One of the best nymphing and chironomid rods
Calcutta Fish Cooler Bags 15 % Off – A great way to transport your catch home from the dock or the river.
Fishpond Tailwater Fly Tying Bag 10% Off – If you travel or just need a great way to store your fly tying gear this is the bag!

FRESHWATER FISHING REPORTS
Squamish River Fishing Report
Though there are not many options right now, the Squamish is coming back into shape after the rain this week. For the first time in the season, we are seeing cold weather and as we write the report she is dropping like a rock.
We might even see some snow over the next couple days so keep an eye on that if you are headed up and it will stay cold all the way into next week. This will clear things up fast in the river. There is usually a window when we see a change in weather like this, providing excellent fishing, but it is brief. When it gets clear and low the fishing will slow way down.
Bull trout and rainbows will be the major focus for anglers but there have been reports of fresh late coho – it is common to see these guys well into December.
Egg imitations are the go-to right now but coho streamers, baitfish patterns, spinners, and spoons should be in the kit if you are heading out.
Note: The upper river road took a lot of water over the last 3 days. It will dry up quick but 4-wheel drive and a dose of caution is recommended.
Good Luck,
Matt Sharp
